Hello, hope someone can help me out. Today, for some unknown (to me) reason, when I engaged my rear PTO to begin mowing, a fuse blew and shut down the entire tractor. I replaced the fuse and all was well. I tried to mow again. As soon as I engaged the PTO, you guessed it, the same fuse blew. Ok, so there's a problem. I'm guessing it has something to do with a "KILL SWITCH" but I have no idea where to look. I've looked under the seat, but the switch there looks to be ok, no frayed wires etc. Can anyone give me a heads up where else to look? Thanks.

Gonna guess this is on your B3000?
Is that an electric PTO?

It's not an electric PTO, switch, or clutch, so blowing any fuse would be the result of the lever or linkage hitting a wire and shorting it out.

What does the fuse you are blowing control?

That is not an easy model to find problems with the wiring, but you need to find where they they are being rubbed / chaffed / pinched, also check the seat witches and the PTO switch for proper connections and fitment. ;)
