So had what I can only figure is a freak happenstance on the MX5400 with the BH92 happen last weekend. I was busy digging away and noticed that I was leaving a trail of hydraulic fluid as I went out of the pit to turn around. Looked under the tractor and found that one of the JIC fittings to the swing cylinders was loose, tightened it up and went back at it.
A bit later noticed that I was still dripping a bit of fluid so back looking and found that somehow I had torn off the hose hanger for the stabilizer on the one side. Disregard the clamps and tape, it was only to slow down the drip until I could replace the hose.
Near as we can figure, I must have picked up a rock in the tire treads when I was paddle wheeling ( only way I can describe it when the tires spin slowly in the sand and rocks I am digging) with the rear tires, which wedged between the tire and the stabilizer hose and then tore the hook right off the back hoe frame and broke the steel bands in the hydraulic hose.
I got the new hose yesterday and replaced it, now to figure out how I want to replace the hose guide hook.
Has anybody added the BH92 spacers for the CAB model to a ROPS model backhoe? This would give more space between the tires and the stabilizer hoses which would reduce chances of that happening again. How would it affect the stability / balance of the back hoe to FEL on the tractor.
Thanks
Walter
