Better hydraulic coupler covers?

Greetings,

MX6000, great tractor. We use this commercially at the golf course. We have dual rear remotes factory ordered on this one.

Is there a better option to cover the hydraulic ports on these? The factory covers have been lost on the two ports and the other two don't seem to stay attached and fall out. I need something easy that the workers will actually use. I don't like these ports being exposed collecting dirt and dust contaminating the fluid.

Thank you.

The plastic covers are junk, but replacing them wasn't on mt list. The loader is removed and in the shed when not in use. When dismounted the female couplers are draped over the loader frame arms pointed down. I check them before connecting them and they're almost always clean. The "boy" ends on the tractor are easily wiped off.

It would help if the plastic covers weren't so springy/stiff. The strip of plastic that serves as the lanyard seems to want to help pop the covers off.

Careful. Those plugs are for 60 Series couplers (ISO 7241B). The couplers on your tractor are ISO 6475.

Dan
Could I get some clarification between the couplers ISO7241B and ISO 6475. Can't seem to find anything on a google search for 6475

Did you mean 5675?

Thanks

Yes, I believe this to be part of the problem. This is on the rear hydraulic connection. The rubber plugs and caps on the loader end seem of better quality.

Yes. 7241B abd 5675 do not interchange. The couplers on your tractor are also two way sleeves and the center has to be pushed in to extend the sleeve and latch the tip/plug. That may be part of your problem.

I have an MX6000 with three sets of rear remotes. I typically spray out the couplers using WD40, Triflow or Hornday One Shot (in order of preference based on cost) before connecting any hydraulic hoses, but I agree that the factory plugs aren't great.

I lost one of the dust caps at some point, but since I have top-n-tilt on the tractor, I never have more than one pair of couplers in need of capping.

The M6060 has some pretty fancy dust caps, but I'd give them up in a heartbeat for the leak-free performance of the MX couplers.

Not sure what you mean here? Not having a problem per say just want a different option for plugging the rear remotes when not in use as the factory caps have been lost.

I believe my MX is a 5675 fitting.

Interesting method for cleaning. Thanks.

I looked up the caps for the M series earlier and called Messicks. All in all, the verdict was still out. It was unsure if they would work. Guess it depends on how the covers are mounted?

Part number 3C001-94520. I have conflicting information that the covers will fit the MX series. I assume both have ISO 5675 couplers.

If you are talking about the hinged covers used on M series remotes they WILL NOT work on your tractor. That verdict is in.

A little more expensive but you might consider changing over to flat face. I haven't done it et but it's on my to do list.
