I have an older L3750DT that does not seem to hold a charge on the battery even with regular operation of the tractor. When I put the charger on the battery yesterday it seems as though a relay is cycling on the electrical system as the amperage on the charger would jump up to a high draw and then drop back to zero. It would continue to do this until i unhooked the power to the starter. Is it possible the solenoid is sticking and if so can just the solenoid be replaced without buying a $600 starter assembly-or having it rebuilt.? After the batter received a good charge I hooked the cables back to the starter and all seemed to work fine with a strong voltage. But i doubt the battery will hold charge for any period of time.
