If any one near an Orscheln store is needing a battery, they have them of sale for 15% off.

I checked all over this area and the best I could fine was at Wholesale Batteries in KC, and for a group 34/78,800 CCA they wanted $140.

The batteries at Orscheln are "Country Tuff" built by East Penn Mfg. and they build the Deka. Got batteries with 3 year replacement for like $93.

Must be a regional store, never hard of them. My dealer has 'Kubota' batteries, asked the parts guy who made them, he said they were Interstate with Kubota labels. Don't know who makes 'Interstate' but I run the Group 31's in my truck and they are excellent batteries.

I run 'Delphi' (Freightliner) batteries in my tractors. Get them from the dealership where I retired from (at cost +5%), Group 31, 1000CCA, 56 bucks each. Only issue is they are screw posts but Autozone sells conversion posts.

I have bought several batteries at my local Orscheln (SP?) store. All have been at least satisfactory.

FWIW: They put their batteries on sale twice each year.

Orscheln (SP?) is headquarted in MO. They have a store about three or four miles from me. MUCH better than the local TSC store about 1/2 mile further away.

I***8217;ll have to check them out when the time arises.

I try to get the freshest battery I can find. Not sure if it matters, but newer certainly doesn***8217;t hurt. It***8217;s always been my experience that batteries at farm stores are older and dusty.

I do like Deka batteries. Same as Oreillys and I believe NAPA house brands. Lately I***8217;ve just used Walmart. Made by Johnson Controls. Same as Autozone.

Don't take much to surpass TSC in my view though my pup likes their grain free dog food. (For Health) and I buy their bulk bird seed and sunflower seeds.

I do have a TSC credit card but almost never use it. Their finance charges are highway robbery. I do when they offer no interest or finance charges on special.

Really wish RK had a store nearby. They don't either.
