I did try to look at their stuff, but there site jumps around on the screen and after a few seconds goes back to search engine. I gave up up after several tries.

did you compare homestead to others? What was the deciding difference between the implements you considered?

I did looked at Land Pride and EA as well.

At the time (Dark Days of Covid) EA had a ridiculous lead time (can't recall the exact time) and I hated the LP "scarifier holder clip" design.

I wanted something rugged, well thought out, with a reasonable lead time.

Turns out Homestead "checked all the boxes" and the 10% discount made it all the better.

I was super happy when I got it and inspected it. It is a very well built implement.

All my other stuff is LP, (mainly cause I financed them with the tractor as a "package deal", not because I "love LP" )

Aside:

I picked up a County Line Landscape rake last year on a "whim", but after I got home and looked closely at it, I had "buyers remorse", and returned it later that same day.

I have decided that IF I ever decide to "pull the trigger" on buying one, (instead of making one ;) ) I will buy a Homestead Pinnacle Series.

I bought a 7’ rake from runnings in my home town. I use it to clean my trails and driveway. Honestly I wanted a LP rake but didn’t want to spend the money since I don’t use it often. Build quality doesn’t match LP but it gets the job done.

Homestead seems to be priced a good bit below my top three, but I am not sure why that is. (They are a good bit less but almost half the weight of LP and 1 ft less width)

LP, Catawba and EA seem to be pretty close in price for a cat 1/2 implement (compatible with QH20)with offset (those three are within a few hundred dollars before shipping consideration). Guage wheels all seem to be in the $600ish (additional) range. (I have not looked into shipping fees / if applicable). EA seems to be highest, LP in the middle and Catawba would save some money but only 84” rake (and only deliver to commercial business or freight terminal).

from what I can tell, the LP 514lbs vs EA as closest coming in at 419 for 96”er. Homestead is 245lbs for 84”?

That’s about all I can gather from the website. What my experience tells me with. LP and EA is that I believe LP has a better application of paint and that I prefer brick and mortar of my dealer. Homestead has a smoking price. EA does still have their good product videos with Peanut. I also am certain that LP will properly fit to QH20.

All things being equal I would normally prefer in person brick and mortar of my dealer and if something not right they will fix or replace with no questions upon inspection.

And maybe ... Make a blade that can be swapped out with a rake!
Great idea….LP already has a flip down option on their newer series (LR3796). The Change point of the LR and my back blade that I was hoping for switch over capability is that my current BB has a tilt function which the LR does not have.

i have future use to use the tilt on the BB so I think that means I need a bigger barn.😉

Consider this one CLOSED.

I asked SO if she wanted trick or treat this year…she said trick…I told her a got her a new comb today. 😂

37 series (96”) with gauge wheel and hydraulic angle kit.

A swap out rake / blade not available for my current blade…it has hydraulic tilt and I believe that is what was not compatible for a rake blade. New series do have that as an option but they don’t have the hydraulic tilt with that option (at least not that I could order with my dealer). Ultimately I ended up with another implement.

37 series rake is built as well as my blade implement (both land pride 96” cat 2). Wheel kit seems pretty heavy duty as well.

As far as wait time…I ordered it in August, dealer had none in inventory, so they ordered and had to wait for it to be built…it arrived just this week.

CLOSED.
