Welcome to OTT and congratulations on your purchase. I really like my B8200 and it's been very reliable for me. The VIN should be on a plate on the left side of the tranny just above the floor board. Not sure on how to tell what year it is. Buying a loader new can be quite costly maybe as much as what you paid for your tractor. Keep a eye on your classifieds as sometimes a used one will come up. Here at OTT everyone loves pictures. Do you have any of your Kubota?

Edgar, right after I bought my Kubota(from an individual) in 2003, I want into the dealer and asked what year it was based the the serial # which I had in hand. They told me it was based on what year the tractor was sold. Mine was bought in the spring of 1998, making it a 98 model. However I wanted to know what year it was made. I heard later a good way to tell is to look at the manufacture's date on the wheels. Mine were made by Titan. Fronts in 10/97 and rears in 12/97. So I figure it is a 1998 model. Hope this helps.

Did you buy the tractor private? When was all the fluids and filters changed last? I would change all the fluids, filters and grease first and then play around with all the controls so you know how everything works. Do you have a manual? Do a search on the B8200 on this forum to learn more about your tractor. Lots of useful information on here.

Yeah I would start at the oil change and go from there. Well for value I usually see them anywhere from $2000 to $6000. If it's in really good shape, low hours,4wd, power steering, HST and comes with a attachment like a mower then it would be closer to the $6000 range. Your location has a big impact on the value because it's all about supply and demand.
