My front loader has a leaking cylinder that is leaking pretty bad to the point that the tractor is very low on fluid. Do i need to use Kubota fluid to fill it back up or can i use something cheaper like the stuff tractor supply sells?

Also should i just drain what is left or just try to guess how much to put back in?

The leaking cylinder was fixed once before by the local dealer 4 years ago they used a seal kit going by the invoice. The leak is right where this red arrow points to.

I don't know if i should take it back to the local dealer or find a local shop.

Don't use cheap fluids, your just asking for trouble.

Why would you drain what's left unless it need a fluid and filter change.
There is no guessing required, just fill the the proper height on the dipstick or the window.

Either take the cylinder to a hydraulic shop and have it rebuilt or do it yourself, they are very simple to rebuild.
