Hey all,
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I've got a B7510 (love it) but over the winter something "blew" off at startup which took me a while to find. Well - I found it, and I can't seem to find what this is or what part i need to replace. *edit This was in February, temps were around -25F so it was a very cold start (which has never been a problem).. I heard the pop about 20seconds after it turned over and was warming up. I got the tractor w/ 110hours, it had a 50 hour oil change but i gave it fresh oil and filter at about 130hrs, this happened at about 148 hours.
Basically, there's a hold/plug/fitting facing up, directly behind the hydraulic line coming off the hydraulic pump, left side of the engine when viewed from the front..
Has anyone got any idea what that plug is? I can't find any reference to anything like it in any manual or diagram..
I managed to snap a few pictures and it doesn't appear to have been threaded, there's nothing loose or hanging like some vent hose, and when the engine is running oil "mists" out of that hole leaving a huge mess all over and leaking onto the ground.
*** Links / Photos removed to post - I have clear images of what I'm referring to but can't post them - PM me if you would like the links
I'd like to be able to just plug it but i'm not honestly sure what was there, if it's some sort of breather, or if there was previously a large bolt screwed in there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If anyone else has a b7510 and can wiggle a camera down there to take a picture that would help me a great deal. I can tap and re-thread it if necessary, just not sure what I'm actually looking at.
Thanks!
-Tom
