I recently bought my first Kubota. It's a B7510 HST. It came with a loader. It currently does NOT have any hydraulics at the PTO. Just a PTO. Three point hitch. I have been looking for a suitable backhoe. Kubota or other for that matter. I do not need to have the best, fastest or most powerful backhoe. Just one that I can have if I want to dig myself a little trench at my own pace. Not a professional question. I just need it to function.

So I have found a couple small backhoes that require hydraulics from the tractor and do not run off the PTO. I don't know if this is the only option or if I can tap into the loader hydraulics to run a three point backhoe that required hydraulics from the tractor.

Incidentally, I live in Missouri. The ground where I am is crazy soft without any rocks at all. I also will not be digging up a tree stumps and such. So I will not be asking much from my backhoe if I can find something that will function.

So, is it possible for me to use a backhoe that needs hydraulics from the tractor and tap into the loader lines?

Thanks for the help!

Jeff

A word of caution on 3pt backhoes. There are threads on other forums of owners ruining their machines. Whether their own reckless actions, or unforeseen underground obstacles? There are pictures of tractors broken in half.
I sold my B7610 and downsized to the affordable BX23S soley for its backhoe. Loader and mmm functions are the same as my B7610.

You could get many trouble free years out of a 3pt hoe. Or you could damage your machine. My soil is clay and shale and hardpan, not a good situation a 3pt hoe. Your soft soil could mean its fine?

Thanks for the feedback. My question was can I use my Loader hydraulics to run the needs of a backhoe attachment? I don't have hydraulics at the rear PTO. I know I could run a PTO driven backhoe with it's own pump. Any feedback is helpful. Thanks!
