B7500 with only 400 hr,heat guage doesnt work, engine checks 200 degrees at fast idle no load, gets warmer when mowing, checked with laser pointer thermometer. Is this a normal no load temp? Thanks in Advance.

Since you have a infrared thermometer - go ahead and mow, get everything good and hot - find out what the temp is at the upper neck of the radiator - right where it meets the radiator, shoot the cap and , maybe the most important place to check is the lower neck of the radiator. DO this while running so you can see the cooling difference.

210 F at upper - maybe a bit more at cap - but the one to look carefully at is the lower one - there should be 100 degree drop - or close to it at the bottom.

Without looking it up - your machine has a water pump I believe - check the belt tension on that and clean the radiator really well and take all your readings.

So that bottom number concerns me = 168 is tooooo high. Need to get

BLow that radiator out well - realllllllly well.

Get cha one of these - place a rubber hose piece on the end so you will not bang up the fins.

then spray this on the radiator - then wash it with the garden hose and run the test again!!!

Here is the very best blow gun to clean radiators/coolers with no damage.
The air comes out of the side.
I use one to blow out fins and, if needed, turn a water hose on the radiator in front of the blow gun. It will blow the water and debris out very well.
You can also start the engine, run about half throttle, and use the wand and water. The fan will help by sucking the water through.
You would be shocked at what will come out of a "clean" radiator.
