Hey everyone,
So i'm in process of replacing the head on my B7300 (D722 engine). the old head cracked in the rear (towards driver) behind a set screw/plug. I was looking at welding it, but decided to just replace the head.
I looked at my local ACE for a replacement plug and couldn't find a match. the plug is 15841-96020. Its #90 on the attached diagram (also included what it looks like). I can't use the old one, had to remove it with an easy out.
Does anyone know the thread pitch & size of that bolt? or a common alternate? I can't find anything on this screw/bolt anywhere. I know its sounds simple, I had 2 guys try to help me at ACE and couldn't find it.
Also, the tractor seems to have potentially over heated (it actually cracked when i throttled down and turned off the machine). Is it common to replace the waterpump? Wanting to do a full service while I have it broken down.
Finally, I seem to have accidentally unscrewed the top half from the bottom half of an injector (if that makes sense). Can I just torque the injector back together? Couldn't find anything on that either.
