looking for a little help I have a b7200 its has a lack of power in forward also a power steering type noise form the Hst area
in reverse it has some power but not a lot
the screens are clean oil has been changed

clutch or high pressure valve?

Can you remove the high pressure valves with out any thing jumping out that you can reinstall?

thanks

I'm more apt to lean towards a bad clutch.
Does it feel like it's slipping?

Hard to say what would be the best way to tell?

This is what I have found
Flat ground it moves along slowly
Put a slight grade the movement all most stops
Moves better in reverse
Two wheel drive it will barely move forward

What about the whining noise normal or abnormal?

I am not a HST expert so this is just a bit of a guess. If there is a hydraulic valve, say for a remote that has not returned to the neutral position,(maybe it is in a float position) it will be bleeding off the hydraulic flow and pressure affecting other hydraulic systems and making for some funny noises.

By what your describing it sounds like the clutch is bad, I would try adjusting that first.
The noise can be somewhat normal if your not driving the HST with the needed RPM and torque.

How does the three point, power steering, and FEL (if equipped) work?

How did you "rule out" the clutch possibly being the problem?

I ruled out the clutch with a rpm gauge for timing diesels
2200 rpm front wheels lock down the wheels wouldn't turn the shaft to the hydro remained at a constant speed

removed the high relief valve there was a 1mm grove in the valve .03deep
Im going to order a new valve and seat and retest

where can I get gauges for the high pressure side of the system?

case pressure 5psi @ idle
charge pressure 50psi @ idle

2200 rpm

case press pressure 15psi max
charge pressure 75psi

full rev (4000) case pressure 18psi and the gauge is pulsing
charge pressure 80 psi and its doing the same

ideas guys

Go to Kubota books.com and download the service manual. It will tell you what the charge pressures and case pressures should be. You can see if they are within specifications.

Hi

There is a Workshop manual which covers the HST. It is quite comprehensive on how to check out the HST

There is a noise from my HST and it worried me at first but was told that noise is normal

The various points to test are shown in the manual. Your local hydraulic shop could fix you up with a length of hose fittings and a pressure gauge, Remove an alan screw plug. Take it to the hydraulic shop and they should have the fitting. I beleive they are BSP

Snip from manual attached. please note you are looking at pressures of the order of 2300 PSI

Good Luck
