Just bought my first Kubota last week and sorting out a few problems and giving it a long overdue service.
The Tie Rod End on the front end of the tie rod that comes from the steering box needs replacing. I cannot get hold of a parts manual (can't download stuff on here from UK), but have a drawing supplied by a UK supplier.
The problem is I can only buy the complete link rod at nearly £400. However, I can buy the individual Tie Rod Ends for the link rod that runs between the front wheels, and I am guessing these will be the same, subject to different left or right hand threads.
My question is does anybody know if one of these will fit, and which hand I would need for the front steering tie rod?
Otherwise I can obviously take it all apart to find out, but thought someone might know - there seems to be a lot of knowledge on here.
Thanks,
Phil

The rod that runs between the front wheels is the tie rod, with replaceable ends, one RH and one LH thread. The rod that comes from the steering box to the front axle is the drag link. I looked at mine closely and thought the same thing as you, until I looked closer. The drag link ends on my tractor are not replaceable, but all one piece. They look replaceable, until you look closer.

I'm sure with some work, one could put replaceable ends on them.

As a side note, I thought the drag link end by the front axle was bad, but after further inspection, I realized the front axle was rocking back and forth when I turned the wheel. Once I tightened up the center axle pivot bolt to remove the play, all was good again. Are you sure you are not seeing play from the center axle pivot bolt instead?

Thanks for your reply Mike :)
All is much clearer now, indeed the drag link ends are one piece with the link.
I did just check the centre axle pivot bolt, but no play at all.
I think my way forward is to get a tie rod end and weld it onto the drag link - at £40 it is worth a try.
Thanks again,
Phil
