I have a B7100 4x4, and the tractor is in excellent condition from top to bottom. I have had the tractor now for a couple of months, and the only problem I have with it is getting it in and out of 4x4. When I bought it, the
4x4 was engaged and I never could get it to disengage. One day out of the blue, I reached down to try it again, and the lever moved, actually pretty easily, and it disengaged. Now I'm trying to get it back into 4x4, and again, the lever won't budge. I have tried it with the tractor moving, stopped, freewheeling, etc. Nothing works. Can someone help with this?

Thanks.

I have B7510DT.
and I couldn't move the 4x4 either first time.
but I figure it out how.
My tractor wise, I have to put it in any gear first... then 4x4 will move.
If gear is in neutral, 4x4 will not engaged.
Try yours too. Who knows. You might be lucky too... like I am...:D

If you haven't already done so, it may pay to inspect all the linkages between the lever and the arm on the side of your transmission. I found my linkage bent preventing the lever from moving most of the time --- the bend in the linkage actually bound up the lever. Took it apart and straightened it all up and it now works well.
