Hi I am interested in attaching a FEL to my B6200 4x4 HST. Someone not to far away has one for sale and it is off a 6200 gear driven machine. The front end loader is driven off of the crankshaft pump. Am I correct in thinking that with a little plumbing this will work on my machine? What is the difference between a 1630C, 1640 and the 1640A ? This guy claims that he stripped his 4x4 gears by overloading his bucket? Also is it worth it if I do not have power steering? Thanks

Don't know about the rest of your question but you will definitely want power steering. Even unloaded it will be difficult to steer the machine.

Make sure you get the entire subframe and if you want to run it off the front pump, get all of that system too.

There are several adapters that are needed to either run the Loader off the Tractor hydraulics, or to run it off an Independent pump, if the pump is running from a reservoir in the loader column then it's not a 1630, 1640, or 1640A, they don't have their own fluid reservoirs, they were made to run off the tractors reservoir.

The loader will make it a little more difficult to steer but not impossible.
Rear ballast on the three point will help this tremendously.
Loaders being loaded don't strip gears, drivers of the loaders strip gears.
These models are designed to handle a loader, and proper setup and use won't make anything wear more than it is already. ;)

Regarding the loader and two wheel drive - my Mitsubishi is two wheel drive and I put a loader on it. If the front tires are properly inflated the loader posed no problem or hardship. Of course if the tires get low steering can be an issue.

The guy now tells me that he is going to keep it, fix the machine and sell it for $7000. At first he wanted $2000. for the fel, I offered him $1200. if everything came with it. But it doesn’t matter now. Although the knowledge provided will be helpful in the future. The search continues. Thank You
