I have a B6100E and I'm having trouble with the 3 point lowering very slowly. I'm talking a full minute with over 200 pounds on the hitch. From what I understand this is abnormal, but maybe someone can verify.

Here's what I've done

I have tried turning the flow control knob, it goes from a full minute, to dead stopped... Never speeds up. note: Knob is VERY hard to turn.

Cleaned screen and flushed the fluid, filled to proper level.

Lubricated all three point linkage, nothing appears sticky.

It raises normally, and stays up with no issues, just very slow to go down.

I looked at some parts diagrams and it appears there's a couple spool valves in line, one being the flow control valve and the other being the position control. From what I know about spool valves, one of these could be atleast partially blocked.

I'm wondering if there is a way to eliminate one or the other, before ripping them apart? or maybe there's something I'm missing, and I'm not at all heading in the right direction.

Thank you.

Control flow knob? are you talking about the blue one under the seat on the right side when sitting on the tractor, that's for external pressure it won't do anything for the 3 point, it's cold where you're at, temp does play a part, my 6100E is SLOW going down in this Penna. weather, but anyhow yes there is a 3 point drop speed control located by the 3 point limit stops, it should be marked yellow and has a locknut, it is vertical in position, I think out is faster if I remember right. Let me know how you made out.

I remember seeing that, an wondering what it was. It's still very slow in the summer, in fact that hasn't changed much with this cold weather. The summer is really when I use it the most, just dealing with it now.

Are you running Hytrans fluid or gear oil?
I'd adjust it and see what happens, I do remember years ago I adjusted mine, I only mow with it now so it don't bother me if it's slow in the winter.
Great little tractor, mines 34 years old this year, been in the family since new.

Amalie alltrac 245 meets kubota specs. If it was only in the winter it wouldn't be an issue because all I use it for is counter weight for plowing, but, trying to get my new yard cleaned up with the box blade is annoying, or when hooking up to a wagon/trailer.

Mine orignally came from South Carolina and was riddled with lots of small issues. I've been going thru it as I can afford too. love the tractor so far, were supposed to get hit with 2 feet of snow fri so it'll give me a chance to really try out the snow plow set up I fabbed up.

Thanks for the help
