I have a B6000 4wd and I need to get 1 new front tyre. The front tyres are 5-12 and the rears are 7-14. What has me puzzled is that the service manual states 6-12 and 7-16 for fronts and rears, respectfully.

Does this sound right? I cant find any info on rolling circumference to calculate if the sizes are wrong and could damage the drivetrain

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

hi there and welcome to OTT, you will soon find out this is a very cool site;) and great source of info etc for all things orange.
Anyway, on my previous B6000 it was a JDM version to the UK and as such had the 5 -12 and 7-14 ags on it which were fine , i did however change them to the 6-12 & 7-16 as they more easy to obtain in the UK , i did after that go to 6-12 & 8-16 which worked very well.
I have been known to do some mad mods to my orange kit, have a look at my solution to the anti-clockwise PTO on the b6000's, mad but worked geat.

PS I'm also a subaru fan, i have a early 2007 3.0 legacy tourer, great car but does drink petrol though:eek:

Ah good to know.

I priced a new 5-12 Bridgestone tyre and tube at the kubota dealer at it came to $178, I then rang the local Bridgestone tyre shop and they quoted $110. Looks like an easy choice, thanks for the info

I have a 2001 Outback and 2004 Forester, plus an 85 RX Leone turbo with WRX engine, gearbox and brakes.
