Should I be running 50/50 radiator fluid in my b6000 4wd? Does it need to be specific for diesel engines? Or, should I dilute this 50/50 with water at a specific ratio? Any help is appreciated.

Just use 50/50 as is unless you live in the way north were temps jet sub "0" then straight antifreeze. Some will argue some ratio of water anti. at sub temps. my two cents cant go wrong with straight in sub temps.

Whatever you do - do NOT run straight antifreeze!

50-50 is typical , because most people would screw up any other ratio!

But there is a point where FREEZING goes back DOWN when the ratio is too high, past about 70% antifreeze to water.

Take a look at this - kinda deep, BUT as the antifreeze is INCREASED - the ability to cool is lessened!!!

Pure water will cool and engine better than ANY mixture of antifreeze but as we know we need the antifreeze to help with freezing and boil over.
