Leafy England....
Good evening all,
here is a question that i need help with and hopefully there may be someone here that can shed some light on to the subject.
I have a B6000 at present which is a great work horse, we have some really handy implements for it also inc a f/loader and a KB180 backhoe, the tractor really does get used most days and for most of the working day, if not longer.

Anyway, as much as i would like to get a bigger machine the b6000 does fit nicely through our small gates and accross narrow bridges into our woodland area etc, this does make it perfect to be honest, but, the anticlock PTO is becoming an issue now as we have lost out on some ideal implements due to this limitation.

So then the question, are there any known mods to overcome this,(apart from the pto reverser) limitation. would any other of the smaller B series rear ends retro fit onto the 6000 front end etc.
any help would be great.

I'm sure others with more knowledge will chime in, but as far as I understand the PTO spins in reverse on B6000s because they mounted the engine in reverse of normal. If you look at pictures of b6000s compared to b7000s etc..., you'll notice that the exhaust is on the right on b6000s and left on all other models. A result of the back asswards engine mounting.

Thus, as far as I can see installing another rear end wouldn't help. In fact, another gearbox in the b6000 would probably result in 6 reverse and 2 forward gears.

What are the implements you're missing out on? Some nifty fixes are out there for specific implements. A good example is re belting the mower in reverse, or flipping the blades.

I might someday like to attach a post hole auger. If I can find an auger gearbox that I can modify to reverse rotation, now that would be great! I haven't looked into it in detail yet, as I don't have the need for one right now.

Changing the rotation on my tiller was easy. I've seen internet links for new reverse pto adapters sold Europe. Unfortunately they cost about half of what I paid for my B6000.

955's are nice, but an old aircooled Duc with a 2 into 1 has all the right sounds!
