making oil is many times a bad injector. however that's on common rail engines. you probably have a IDI or DI engine so I'd need advise too. many more here much smarter than I on diesel problems, they will chime in.

It may be your hydraulic pump seal leaking. Are you losing transmission fluid?

As stated, the chances of you filling the crank case with hydraulic fluid greatly out weighs filling it with fuel, but both can happen.

Make sure which fluid is getting in because a hydraulic pump seal is a lot cheaper than a injection pump rebuild.

it could be hydro seal i guess. changed oil a few weeks ago and just did trans oil .so i think i will drain oil and refill to correct level and check for diesel in old oil and run it for a while and check levels. how hard is it to replace hydro seal? any pics out there on this job. And thanks

Replacing the seal is easy on the hydraulic pump. You may have to drain your transmission before you can take the pump off. You can reuse it if you use clean containers to drain into.

Hardest part may be getting the correct seal. If more than one part number is available you may want to order them all. My pump did not match the tractor serial number for it's parts. You may also want to replace the o-rings on the inlet and outlet flanges since you will have them off to remove the pump. If I remember correctly there is a gasket between the pump and engine block that you need also.
