Recently purchased a B5000 that was in very good condition, but did not realise it was a grey import to the UK........

Unfortunatly after a few weeks one of the rear axle seals has started to leak oil.

Unsure if the seal is the same as on other models but have managed to prise it out without stripping down the gear casing and found that its made by NOK and has referance AE7866E, internal diameter 50mm, external dia 68mm on seal and 76mm on the steel outer flange, 15mm thick inc flange.

Searches on the internet have not been any good so wonder if anyone knows where I could obtain one? (or 2).

No idea in the UK, but take it to any bearing shop and they match it. It may not have a flange on it etc, but it's just an axle seal, no pressure, slow speed, so anything that fits will basically do the job.

I managed to find a dealer today in the UK who can get the axle seals for a B5001 on 3-day order at £24.84 each + Vat and postage so have ordered a couple and hopefully they will be the same as the B5000. According to the workshop manual I have they are supposed to be, but guess you can never know 100%.

If the seals are incorrect then I will go the route you suggest and get standard seals.

Thanks

Good job, a bit expensive though......
Something like this may have done, but if you can get the exact part it's probably better.

Thanks for link and it is a lot cheaper. Mixed reasons for trying to spec original part, obvious one was to obtain replacement seals but the other was to see if the B5001 was the same as B5000 for parts. Bit of an expensive gamble though I agree and might be lucky with these parts but others are different............
