Newbie to forum…I purchased a used B3300 about 6 years ago. All has been working well…and still is. However, after brush cutting the other day, I noticed this part hanging down. What is it? What is it for? Where should it go?
Thanks! Very helpful. Appreciate you including diagram…and the call out to changing filter and fluids. I’ve done the engine fluids, but need to get to transmission.Looks like there are 2 of them on a schematic I found on messicks. Here’s what I saw. PS that cylindrical item it’s against in grey paint is a filter installed at the factory and based on your tractors age is definitely due for replacement.

Makes sense and that was what I was thinking as well. Good advice to find a hole that it would fit into in the radius of the wires.Safety switch. I'm not familiar enough to tell you where it belongs, but look for an empty hole within the distance the wires allow you to reach. The hole would be the diameter of the threaded part of the switch. Then look at whatever would push the plunger on the switch.
Right now you can do something that the switch would normally prevent - start without pushing clutch pedal, move without being seated, etc. When you put the switch where it belongs you won't.
