I have a 2013 B2650 and the other day when I was cutting the grass and running the rear PTO the display RPM read 0. First time this has happened, its has been fine otherwise. I noticed that it will show RPM for a second right when the PTO is engaged but then goes to zero.

Engine RPM seems fine, is there a speed sensor for the rear PTO? What can I check? It was working when I started cutting the grass and about 2 hours in it just stopped displaying RPM.

I assume that there would be some type of sensor and that the wires may have come loose on it.

But I looked at Kubota USA illustrated parts list and didn’t see anything, so it may be a generated output from the engine speed.

Does the tachometer still display engine speed?

You can remove the dash and see if there is anything corroded, or if the connection is loose from the harness to the dash.

Hopefully a more knowledgeable person will be able to help you out.

2009 L5030 at work had starting issues, you had to hold the PTO lever back while turning key. I was digging into that repair and noticed 2 micro switches on PTO lever bracket. Bending one micro switch tab got machine to start without holding the lever back, but had lost PTO readout on dash. Pulled back apart and bent the other micro switch tab a bit to make contact with PTO engaged, dash readout started working. Yours may be similar?
