Anyone else have a B2650 cab that the joystick hits the wheel when you try to dump the bucket and lower the arms?

I tried tightening up the cable on the stick end. Seems like there is a lot of play before it moves anything. Might have to remove the seat in the spring and see what it looks like under there.

Mine has a different knob I think as it has a switch for the 3rd function valve.

Any ideas?

On the BX - (different that what you have) there is a linkage with a nut that can back off the bolt creating a lot of slop in the movement of the stick.

Something has loosened up - so you might need to get to that before spring;)

I have noticed the same thing with using my snowblower.

Left on the stick hits the wheel and the 3rd function buttons, too.

I have learned to feel it and move it without hitting the wheel.

I will look into the ability to tighten or adjust it.

Here is what I found today, a missing nut.
I had found a nut on the floor a few weeks back, but did not find its home.

Now I have.

The nut runs out of threads before it pulls the actuator shaft tight to the bracket. I don't know if there is something else missing or it is supposed to be that way.

Judging from that round witness mark I'd say a washer goes there.

Or it's a flanged nut.
But if it's shanking out, probably a washer missing.

The nut has a captured washer, still not tight.

I cannot find a breakdown or photo of this, even in the shop manual.

Went onto Messick's site and found this. Looks like just the nut/washer I have is all there is.

This link seems to show more threads than I have. I will go look at it and see.

How is that other cable next to it, loose or snug?

Snug.

It threads into the block, no nut on the back.

Threads on that are messed up!!! Most likely from using it without the nut on.

I threw on a couple washers for now. I'll get a new part and nut and replace it. Probably use some blue thread lock, too.

Well, this made no difference in the distance between the joystick and the steering wheel.

I still hit the wheel with the stick when I move the stick left. Hurts sometimes.
