Just asking because I'm curious. Has anyone gone from a B2620 to a B2601?

I'm aware of all the different features, but am wondering if the engines and power are the same or if one feels stronger than the other.

I also wonder what the differences are between the two 60" drive over mower decks and if the one for the old B can fit the new one?

they talked me into buying a new 2601 here....

dont know nothing about a 2620....

2601 is awesome. FEL is strong for its size, tractor is strong & sips fuel.. super comfortable & still narrow enough for tight places.

I too just closed on a 2601 TLBMMM. Down a bit from the L2250 I had for 31 years but more tractor than the B8200 HST mower setup I still have.

I was proud owner of a new B2620 in 2014; in 2015 tractor meets truck; truck totals B2620.

Took receipt of me B2601; a few highlights:

Power seems the same, however, it appears to be quieter
Love the SSQA set up; B2620 was pin on; welcome to the world of new attachments.
Banana pedal a little wierd at first; now I can actually use the split brakes effectively.
Fuel economy is the same
Larger lightweight bucket is great; higher capacity then the B2620
Styling like tilt wheel and new hood is pretty slick
12v access for charger is nice
I have never done the drive-over deck process so I cannot comment.

Hands down it is reliable as my older machine and seems to handle the same. Dollar for dollar it would be a call on convenience and styling in my opinion. They are both great but the B2620 was my first love.

Only regret is I did not get the BH, but that can come over time.

Thanks for the opinions everyone. My b2620 is working out perfectly, but always like to be informed on the new models in case I ever upgrade.

Presently just waiting to find out about an L3901 I may be able to get a deal on because of a divorce sale. If I end up with it, I may throw a backhoe on it and keep my B for everything else.

Otherwise I will likely always stick within the B series for my needs.
