B2620 or B3200

Just bought 22 acres: 11 acres woods that I will rarely touch, 2-3 acres around house that will need finish mowing, 2-3 acres around pastures needing cut every couple weeks (smooth ground), 6 acres neighbor will cut for hay.

I was looking at B2620 with FEL and RFM but the dealer suggested going up to a B3200 for extra PTO power, 4 cyl, and it can handle a 72" RFM.

Question 1) B2620 or B3200 (or other?) and are there still B3200 vibration concerns
Quesiton 2) What width of a RFM, such as a Lands Pride, can a B2620 reasonably pull.

Appreciate your help and advise.

1) Not sure about the B3200 vibration issues; but you may want to take a look at the L series tractors or even the Grand L. They have models in the 32 hp range and I think the L series is Kubotas best seller.

2) I would use 4 foot implements with a B2620.

Great to see another individual here from Indiana on the webpage. I have owned many compact tractors over the years and just purchased a Kubota B3300 and would recommend looking at it as well.

The two tractors you mentioned are offered by Kubota for two different reason based on expected outcomes/performance. Hence, the only advise I can give you in selecting a tractor is "buy what you need and don't get caught up in the dollars on the front end, because you will pay on the backside......" Been there done that.......

I bought a new 3200 this past summer and use a 60" Land Pride grooming mower to take care of the lawn (about 2 acres) and a 60" rotary mower for the pastures (about 4 acres). The tractor has more than enough power for these mowers. My son-in-law bought a 2320 and the land pride 72" grooming mower this summer also.....he has 6 acres of grass to mow each week and his tractor/mower combination works great. I can assure you that the LP grooming mowers are kind of pricey but are very well constructed and easy to maintain pieces of equipment. Cut quality is excellent. As for vibration issues, I personnally do not notice any out-of-the-ordinary vibrations above and beyond what you would normally expect from a machine operating a mower at normal PTO speeds.

Thanks guys for your input. I really liked the proven reliability of the Kubotas and went ahead with the purchase of a B3300 with 72" rotary mower and 72" grooming mower. Just got the tractor tonight before the big storm's supposed to hit. Implements will come later.

I really enjoy my new B3300SU and know you will feel the same way after doing some work/play with it, perhaps you got a little of that white stuff this AM like us :) Be sure to post a pic.....
