B2377 mechanical self leveling kit port relief valves

I have an LX2610 (LA535 loader -no Swift-tach) and I am about to install a self leveling kit.
In the kit are a pair of "port relief valves" and I have no idea what purpose they serve and if they are necessary.
If they're not necessary I can avoid a lot of extra hoses and fittings-always a good thing.
Item #30 on attached packing list.

Anyone help me out here?

The port relief valves protect the work circuit (hoses and cylinder) on the loader from pressure overloads - most commonly when the control valve is in neutral and the circuit is isolated from tbe inlet pressure relief.

Those pressures can be generated by pushing and pulling forces when digging or loading material.

Put them in.
