Howdy!

I'm new to the forum so thanks. I have five acers of property in Texas with pine trees and the dredded youpons on it. Having the pines cut at this time and in the process of clearing the youpons. I find a need for a compact tractor to help with this and also maintance. I have found a nice clean 2011 Kubota B2320 standard shift, with FEL and box blade on the rear and just a little over 300 hours on it. Asking $10,000 for it and so for my research fines thats not a bad deal. So I'm going to purchase it unless some folks here advised other wise. Plan on adding a 4' brush hog to it once I purchase it to help with the youpons. Glad I found this forum.

That does sound like a good deal.

What is your use for the B2320 besides brush-hogging? Reason I ask is I've read (and learned via experience) that FEL work is far easier with an HST rather than a geared tranny. If you expect to do a lot of loader work, I urge you to give consideration to this point.

It would be great if you could arrange an opportunity to get some seat time in an HST FEL machine.

Welcome to OTT from Alabama. I have a geared 4wd CUT and I have done a lot of work with my FEL. I know it might be a little easier with HST but I don't think it is worth the extra cost of purchase and ownership.

Those folks that are not familliar with Youpons it can grow so thick that you can not walk through it here in East Texas. Some say that the only way to truely way rid yourself of it is to dig it out routes and all.
