I had a woods backhoe on my B 7100 and after I destroyed it I bought a Kubota backhoe to replace it. The Kubota hoe is hands down a much heavier unit but I am compairing a 1999 model Kubota to a mid 70's woods. I'm sure that woods has improved their design over the years. I did hear that Kubota started building their own backhoes because they were not happy with the performance of the woods but I don't know if that is true or not.
I look at it like this, anything can be broken if it is abused no matter what brand it is. Get the one that you are most satisfied with and remember that it's a small backhoe and don't treat it like a 416 Cat and you will probably be happy with it for years.
GreenmountainSlim just bought a woods backhoe and seems to really enjoy it. Maybe he can give you some more help with this.
