B2301 Loader mount movement?

Hey y’all, new here and came over from an old green machine! After using the float feature on my 2301 today for the first time I noticed what I thought to be weird movement at the loader connection points!
In the pic I’m posting I’m noticing the part of the loader I’m pointing to moving back towards me in the seat. It comes back maybe 1/4 an inch when I put down pressure on the bucket? Maybe this is normal, but seemed odd to me.

It appears to me that you are pointing at the pivot point for the loader?

I don't have a definite answer, but 1/4 inch seems like a lot of play to me. Does the other side have same/similar play?

How many hours on the machine?

New/used?

Are you the original owner?

I am not familiar with your model or the loader mounting system you have there…but I guess my first question would be is the loader fully seated / docked to the loader frame (mine have pins, so there is no mistaking that…I wonder yours is completely locked into place on the side you notice this? Same on other side?). What keeps it locked in place? Any chance there is a locking lever not fully engaged? Maybe check the manual, undock it and re attach following the manual and see if same result. I am not sure that helps, but that’s where I would start off if you think something misaligned.

I hated that LA435 loader so much that I traded the B2601 off awhile ago the earlier model LA434 loader was a much better design.

it may just be a pivot, but it seems like it moves more than I’ve ever noticed. Didn’t know if after I floated it if something changed? Not real sure what’s happening in that process.

Other side looks like less movement.
30 hours on it, I purchased it brand new.

Ill do that today! You just pull 2 small releases and when you put down pressure the loader walks itself off. No pins, it just sits in pivots. It seems like an odd design from my perspective, just can’t decide if it’s always moved and I never noticed.

It seems like the quick attaching aspect of the loader might just be a weak point for it! I hope I don’t end up in your shoes, then again I wish I would have went large enough for a cab….

When I asked how much it would cost me to add a backhoe to it that was the point where I knew it was time for it to go I ended up with a nice BX23 and 10k in my pocket for the B2601 and I don't miss it at all.

But I do have other machines some much larger with cabs so that wasn't a problem for me either.

Good luck with your tractor they are nice machines it's just the Mickey Mouse swift-tach loader that stinks on them.

When I asked how much it would cost me to add a backhoe to it that was the point where I knew it was time for it to go I ended up with a nice BX23 and 10k in my pocket for the B2601 and I don't miss it at all.

But I do have other machines some much larger with cabs so that wasn't a problem for me either.

Good info! Having the hoe would be ideal, I’ll say that!
We’re just running on 10 acres here in East Texas, so I bought what worked for our current needs.When we upsize I’ll likely go with a cabbed skid for a lot of what I do.

OK I went out and looked at mine, yep things move,,, impact wrench on the frame bolts,, *&%*&^*&^% it still moves,,,, SO after a bit of head scratching I figured it out,, the knuckles for the release do infact have a shyt load of play up and down,, so yeah it is in the locking knuckles, so Im not going to worry about it as long as the frame locks in tight Im not going to worry,, its all good

I pulled the loader off and same, all bolts are TIGHT and same movement! Guess it is what it is!

If it helps your peace of mind I've used my FEL extensively (bucket, grapple, forks) frequently at or near max capacity and have had the FEL on and off dozens of times with no issues. After ~100 hrs I don't see any signs of adverse wear or deformation on any of the FEL attachment / clamping points.

Always good to hear stuff like this!!! I mostly move hay with a 3 point spear and brush cut. Of course I haven’t used the FEL a ton, so probably just noticed something that’s always been!
