Hi
I have unfortunately snapped the shaft of the diverter valve on the hydraulic block of my B2150. (Shown as 'A' in the diagram below).
The valve isn't available as a separate part. Kubota will only sell the complete block (expensive) therefore I want to remove it to remake/repair it. I have removed the retaining nut shown as 060 but the valve isn't pulling out as I would expect.
Any experience or thoughts that may help?
Thanks

Contact 007kubotaguy.
He is often parting out older Kubota's.
You have a loader. Why were you trying to move the diverter?
If the shaft was too seized to rotate at least show us a photo of what stub you have left.
It may take a slide hammer and vice grips.

They can get stuck pretty good.
#1 why do you need to turn the valve?
If it's to remove the loader, just jumper from one port to another, works the same as turning the valve.

I removed the FEL so turned the valve to shut off the FEL supply. I just managed this before it snapped. At some point I will want to reattach the FEL so would like to fix. It has locked solid and won't turn now.

Can you confirm that it should pull directly out. I didn't want to use too much force until I knew it should withdraw in case I did more damage.

Attached pictures show the remaining shaft which snapped at the splif pin

Thanks

Looks like it sheared through the hole for pin number 50, What purpose does that pin serve? Is it the handle you turn to operate the valve?

Yes that's correct.
The split pin acts as as indication of the valve position and travels between two split pins that mark end of travel each way that are positioned upright from the block casting.

So its just a quarter turn open to close?

The workshop manual says there is an internal snap ring inside the housing that has to be removed in order to remove the directional valve. You might want to download a copy of the manual.

Just a quick update. I got the valve out. leaving it soaking with WD40 managed to free it. Once free it quickly worked fully free and then just pulled out relatively easily. There was no snap ring as shown in the manual, or groove for a snap ring to locate into either so presumably not missing. Just info in case anyone else needs to do the same.
