Parked the tractor last night won't start this morning. Cranks and turns over fast, whitish smoke from the exhaust pipe. Water level remains at the same level as it has been. I've tried reading different posts on here. Light for glow plugs comes on. Not being a diesel mechanic, would the glow plugs cause this scenario, and any other tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like you are getting fuel.....the smoke....

Just cause the glow plug "light" comes on, are glow plugs getting hot? Only way it know is to test them, no need to pull them out, unhook the top connection - place ohm meter to top terminal, and good ground - should be a very low number -like dang near 1 (or at least under 10)

I have heard about people holding the key - but not getting it to hit the spot for glowing - even though the light comes on! Is this spot of your key switch a spring loaded spot? If so - are you holding it far enough to "glow" - I know this sounds crazy - but I have heard that sometimes the contact is not there to make the plugs get hot!;):)

Thank you! Just went out and checked again. Had a "Duh is me moment" when I saw the connecting wire off of the first plug.
