Thinking of having a look at one. Do they have a good reputation? Would it make a good mowing tractor,it has a 60" deck. Do they have cruise control? What do the have for a motor and how many hours should they last? It has 2600.

None or simple cruise if equipped.

Not a bad lawn mower as long as your yard is not too uneven as they don't have a whole lot of deck height variance.

D950 engine

Hours will vary on how well it's been maintained.
2600 hours is quite a bit, parts are going to be worn thin.

What parts would be worn thin? My b6100 has 4800 plus hours and still runs great, but is to clumsy for mowing except in a straight line.Steering is a little sloppy

I should have said, Parts could be worn thin if someone didn't maintain it properly.
I totally agree that you can get many more hours out of it.

It's not going to be a huge improvement in operation, as it is only one model newer than the B6100, but it might be enough to make you happy! ;)

Thanks for the comments. My thinking is with a 60" deck compared to the 48" on my b6100 it will be a little better around trees etc than the b6100. I mow with my g2000 now but it is getting very tough, pto needs a lot of attention, body is very rotted, and would be nice to get down to one tractor.also think the step up in hp and 4wd over the 2wd b6100 would be quite welcome blowing snow

My old neighbor has a B1750. BiSpeed option. 60" deck. Maybe 800 hours. He loves it soo much he wants another one to keep around property. His tractor is the reason I own a Kubota.

So what is the bi speed option? Is it a hi / low hydrostatic?
I went and seen the tractor,I does have a decal that says bi speed, and I'd does have a cruise control of sorts as well as power steering. Hours a re a bit lower ,but mot much than I though, and although it is very faded and needs a seat, and the rears are checked,it does seem quite solid.

Oh yes you will be much happier with a 4wd in the winter with snow moving!

So what is the bi speed option?
It's an option that change's the speed of the front wheels when in 4wd that makes it steer faster and tighter turning. ;)

I'm beginning to think with the power steering, 4 wheel drive ,this bispeed turning, and the 60" deck this may be a decent lawn mower for me. No doubt it will be a improvement for grading the drive, hauling wood and snow blowing . I'm hoping I can work out a deal

I noticed that the European version of the B50 series has that bi-speed steering option.Any idea why it is not offered here anymore?
If i was to guess it's because they offer other units (zero turn) that turn faster.
Or maybe they just think all of our properties are too large to need such an option. :p

I think the Bi Speed allows fronts to turn at different speeds so they dont tear up turf when turning hard. My neighbors B1750 mowed very well. Deck has 4 swivel casters so it contoured the ground well. His has the zig zag turf tires as well. Not your typical turf tire.

Sorry, but no, the differential already does that, all it does is change the speed of both wheels. ;)

The Bi-Speed feature overdrives the front wheels when you turn the front wheels approx 25 degrees right or left. It worked ok, but is a pretty complicated two speed transmission for the front wheel drive. Should you develop an oil leak at the rear of axle pivot, it makes changing the $1.50 o-ring about a 5 hour job...on a good day!! It is also not to be used if you are using an FEL, as it can do damage to the Bi-Speed unit. After having it on my B2400, I'm glad I don't have it on my B2650.
