SDVic,

The steering box is in with the aftermarket shaft and roller nut. While on the bench. the shaft turned freely and was well centered, however now that it is in the tractor it turns to the left easier than to the right.

I tried to adjust the "sector adjuster" ?? with a flat bladed screw driver but it will not turn at all, in either direction.

Looking over your instructions on the site for rebuild, I see that you recommend tightening the shaft housing nuts in a cross pattern like a torque sequence. I did this when on the workbench, but to install it in the tractor these nuts were loosened to attach the plate for the side cover.

If I use the front loader to lift the front wheels off the ground, the steering works like a dream, but with much more play than on the bench.

I hope there is enough information here to help you understand my problem. I also hope you have a suggestion which can resolve this problem.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
