If I don't have my digging tines down at all on my box blade, I can't get my quick hitch down far enough to connect/disconnect the blade. I currently need to put the box blade on blocking. Is that normal? (B2650 Tractor), If so, what kind of nifty ideas are out there to keep the box blade up when stored so the next hook up is easy. I currently am use a couple of 4x4's, but am looking for any better/more ingenious solutions.

Thanks

Curious about this one myself as I'm about to pull the trigger on a B2650. What QH do you have installed?

For moving implements around, many guys use automotive dollys to move them around or store them in a tractor accessible place on a pallet.

That's odd? I have a quick hitch on my B2620 and have no issues with any implement except the Wallenstein BXM32 chipper shredder. I had to put feet on it because it was too low for my B and my neighbours BX.

Pictures of what you are dealing with will sometimes give you a lot more answers! ;)

Check your top link. Perhaps your top link is restricting how low the quick hitch can be dropped for the connection. Occasionally, I do use short pieces of a 6x6 to elevate the implement...for a really fast connection later.

I have this issue with mine as well.

There are 2 sets of mounting holes on the lower arms... Move the side links to the set of holes closest to the tractor. This will make the effective height when in the lowest setting closer to the ground.

I use short pieces of 4x4 to elevate the box blade & land plane, keeps the tools off the ground, & as rademamj says it helps to speed up the connects. Also I think it makes it easier & gives a little more travel to the hitch if the ground isn't level when connecting.

I place all my attachments/implements on pallets just to keep everything off the ground. Haven't had any issues with getting QH to connect to box blade however I have the L2501.
