I just wanted to share this to confirm that a John Deere armrest kit does fit a MX5800. I did some searching on here and found an old post about using John Deere part for arm rests for a Kubota MX5800.
I purchased the John Deere Adjustable Armrest Kit Part No. BM23761, cost of $85 plus shipping plus sales tax, I found them on eBay. There were 3 small indents in the side of my seat plastic side frame, the kit arrived with metal clips / screw fixtures which slid onto the plastic frame, the armrest had a heavy metal L shape bracket that required the three torxx head screws to be screwed into the 3 metal clips. Fit was good, total fitting time was about 5 minutes.
Here is someone installing the arm rests: Skip to 4:09 in video -
Folding armrests are a nice addition and dit not interfer with any side controls. I ordered another pair to fit my L3901, waiting for delivery, they were a Snapper part number, I’ll post again to confirm if they fit.
