Any experience with this particular tree shear

I am sorry to say, I do not. I would like to experience it though. Except for the paying for it part, I am sure.

I have an earlier model from Precision. Does not have the hydraulic rotation ability, and it has a short nose. I put a QT plate on it and use it on my L4240 to clear some trees up to 8-10". I mounted a camera so I could see what I was doing.
I made some metal bars to bolt over the cutting edge so I could clamp and pull small trees by their roots.

Thanks. That’s the information I’m looking for. Looks like the blade design is proven. Used as tree puller speaks to the ruggedness.
It is built heavy. The bars I made to go over the cutting edge was a wild idea so I could pull up small trees and not cut them off and have to spray. I couldn't see what I was doing and how the shear was positioned before I pulled up. I put the camera on to help with that but I eventually just tore the metal off with my craziness.
If I had a need for a lot of shearing I'd sell this one and purchase on like you have posted. But I don't have a skid steer to use it with. It was a project kind of like your hyd. tree saw! Use it then store it.
