My dealer says the 6 year warranty thing ends at the end of the month, so I decided I to make a decision. I went with a L2501 HST with R4 tires, A quick attach loader, RCF2060 cutter, and quick hitch for the 3 point and a BB1260 box blade. Thought about getting a disk, Also thought about a heavier box blade - but truth is I am not even sure I need a box blade - I was going to get a ballast box, but am thinking I might be able to rig a way to add more weight to the box blade?

Price for the tractor, loader and cutter is $17,885 out the door.

I haven't actually sealed the deal, I go in on Saturday to sign the papers. Maybe I will change my mind at the last minute...

Box blades are like swiss army knives. They seem innocuous and annoyingly take up space, but in their simplicity they are one of the handiest tools you can purchase.

Did you get the quick attach bucket for the loader? If not get it because it allows you to add forks or a grapple latter on and change easily between them.

Once you get the box blade you won't regret it but if you don't, one day your gonna have a project perfect for a box blade and wonder why you didn't just buy it in the first place. I'm in that exact predicament with a set of quick attach forks. I knew I wanted them when I bought my tractor but in the whole process of ordering my tractor, I completely forgot and have regretted to this day.

I use my box blade more than the loader.

It looks like getting the box blade is the right thing. Since I am getting one, do I need to get a heavier one? The dealer says the BB1260 will be fine for around here...

Probably too late, but I'd go with the 1560 or even 2560. I bought a BB2584 for my L5740 and it will work, but it's too light, so it sits in my shed; bought a HR3584.
