I have a 1983 Kuboter L305DT with loader L 1720.

Looking for a bit cheaper price than the QA-CA7 @$1700+ that some websites show.

Is there a universal QA that I could possibly use with a good welder friend of mine? I just can't see spending $1700 on a QA for such an older Kuboter.

I'm thinking just cut the bucket, and weld on an universal QA.

Then plate the bucket and then add an universal QA plate.

yikes..$1700 but a ''welder /fab guy ' could make nice one, I bodged one from 6 years ago. Buying the premade 'clamps' would be money well spent.

Those plates are junk, I bought that set way back for my first loader build on my b7100 and they are even too light weight for it.
The one for $1700 is also bulky.

QA-CA7 is the model, made by a few different manufacturers.

All the same, different color...Case, Ford, Kubota
front loader 1720

I don't think Kubota actually made this loader back in the day, I think Kubota sourced then from case/ford. Loader was made Meri'ca and tractor in Japan.

I have top and tilt so I could use the bucket to get gravel while using the grapple(gravel being used as a ballast. Or grab the pallet forks and my homemade IBC container to throw firewood in while using the grapple. I try to keep the old logging trails open for the neighbors that deer hunt and nature hike. The firewood I just drop in the community pile for fires outside. Also I would consider a bigger bucket as the 3 point can lift more, so when fixing driveway having 2 buckets of gravel instead of only one. As the LX2610 doesn't have a great road speed.

Following along with this thread, I'm looking to do the same with a new to me L305DT with L1720 loader.

Right now, I think this is the best way to go (cut out the back of the bucket and weld to quick attach brackets and put a new plate and receiver on the bucket itself)

One thing I would like to accomplish while doing this conversion is modifying the bucket pivots so it will tilt 5-10 degrees further back, I feel like the bucket BARELY tilts back far enough to hold a full bucket scoop. When you have such a small bucket, you want to move as much as possible per trip!

You don't cut the back of the bucket out, you use a weld on plate.

And for the tilt angle, you just change the distance of the tilt cylinder points.
Caution, that sometimes will have a real adverse effect on dump angle.
