Building a new system from scratch what style do you recommend?

With the tractor running and hydraulic system pressurized are you able to hook up implements or do you shut the tractor off and bleed pressure?

if its always going to be attached anything is fine. great for pioneer as they are cheaper

if your going to be using it with the coupler open or always going back and forth flat faced

i think pioneer and flat face work well. but flat face are superior if your running it unconnected and want to keep the couplers clean.

the advantage of pioneer is cost and compactness.

flat face is easy to clean and easy to remove under pressure.

flat face are much longer and costlier

Faster 4SRHF as used on the larger Kubotas.. They are sleeveless push/pull and connect/disconnect under pressure. Works with standard agricultural (Pioneer) tips.

I prefer flat faced connectors on my FEL because they leak less than pioneers and collect less dirt/dust. I find life is easier if I turn off the tractor and de-pressurize the remotes before disconnecting/reconnecting.

Pioneers are easier to reconnect and have a breakaway feature.
