Has anyone added a turbo to an M8580. My thoughts were to get all needed turbo parts from a M9580 and swap to the 8580.

Check all the parts you need to change. It's a pretty old machine, so it may not be too many parts - no computer, but maybe injectors or injection pump.
With changes like this it is often more economic to sell your machine and buy an M9580 than to do the work.
