I put one of these on my 1950 8N, It isn't going to win any awards as a restoration but mine is a working tractor. I had to cut off the existing steering shaft and used a lovejoy coupling to mate the 2 shafts.
Other things was cutting up the whole steering panel to make room, rework the choke rod and throttle rod and plate area.
The result is a tractor I can steer with one finger that my 72yo arthritic shoulders appreciate.
While I was at the pick and pull I got 2 so I wouldn't have to scrounge if I needed a spare part in the future. So far after , I'm guessing about 8 years no problem except a little hesitancy at low idle but not with engine off and switch on. I read that metal plug wires can interfere so I changed to suppressor core. might be better, I haven't drove it much but coming up on snowplowing time so I will know better then.
