Dear all,

Does anyone know if there is a manufacturer approved way of adding a free flow return to the auxiliary hydraulic circuit on our ME8200?

We already have the return hose from the loader occupying the standard right hand position however there's a small plate held in with two bolts at the same height on the left. Is there a bolt on part to add another socket in this position?

The mystery plate is circled in red on the attached image.

I know it's common to home build an inlet on the oil filler for tractors that don't have any other option but I'd like to avoid this if possible.

Cheers

Ben

Have the 'mystery plate' on my M9000 with the 2 speed pto. It can be removed, drilled and tapped NPT for an elbow to fit up another return line to the gearbox sump no issue. Just be sure the use 3 bond when reattaching the plate to the casting so it don't leak..

Not sure why it's there but might be for an accessory drive of some sort.

Tee the existing port/line, you can have several returns into the same port. ;)

Thanks chaps, two very good options here.

We don't need to use the loader at the same time. The tractor will be stationary, running 2 timber processing machines simultaneously. The engine will be at PTO speed (2000rpm) so we should get the maximum flow rate of the pump which is quoted at 41.6 litres/min.

Just to check-

If we Tee'd off the loader return wouldn't this introduce back pressure to the valve block on the loader? It would be trying to force oil through it in reverse. Is this not an issue with our very high flow rate?

The loader valve is not going to care about it.
If the flow is too high and the line is not big enough, then that port may not work.

Nice one. Tee-ing is by far the simplest option then. Boss will be pleased.

Thanks for your help Woodman and everyone else. I'll post some pics when we're properly setup. I can't imagine there's many Kubotas in the timber industry.
