Hi all,
New to the site and new to being a tractor owner. I have a new to me L4310D 4WD with a loader. It's a 1999 with 1400 hrs but in very good shape.
The question I have is the 4WD on/off lever is on the lower left hand side and the stickers have peeled off showing in or out of 4WD. The lever is pulled up and I would like to know if the 4WD is on or off when the lever is up.
Thanks for any replys and I'm sure I will have more.
Thanks,
Bowhunter

Use the FEL to pick up the front end a bit, and get the front wheels off the ground. With the engine off, in 4WD you cannot get both front wheels turning in the same direction at the same time. In 2WD you can.
Another check is to put the tractor on level pavement, turn it off and put it in neutral, with all implements lifted. In 2WD you should be able to move the tractor by hand. With my L3200 it is a strain - I have to grab a rear wheel and rotate it. In 4WD it is a whole lot harder.
On the L3200, UP is 4WD.
