Most likely asked before but the weight difference is 100lb at 450lb for 5ft verse 4ft.

Not sure if little tractor can handle the 5ft?

Looking at TCS country line.

Thoughts?. Thanks

I have a four foot BrushHog Squealer that works very well behind my BX-25D. I don't know how well a five footer would do, I guess it would depend a lot on how heavy the brush is. The four footer is a nice width for this tractor, but I'm not cutting big fields either. I'm working around trees so the manueverability is nice. I have a few County Line implements, they work well for me, maybe not for heavy farm use, but I'm satisfied.

I don't have one - but I would definitely look for a 4' bush hog for my BX2360.

A 5' rear finish mower would work, but for bush hog stick to 4' like Jerry has.

It isn't only the added weight of the 5', but the weight is also farther back.

My 4' is all I want on the back of mine.

Thanks everyone was on the fence because have 5' box blade I use more as blade and glad got that over a 4'. But agree the weight is further back on brush hog and would have to go slower thus not making up any time.

I bought a Kodiak 4'SD. In my area there was a dealer that priced it right. I think my manual says to use 4' but I chose it because where I plan to use it i wanted to be able to have the clearance around trees. I suppose if you were doing fences you would want it wider to get closer and past the wheels. My B2920 is 49".

On a BX, 4' is going to be your best option, I've used one for years.

I use a 54" Woods finish mower behind my BX2660, but it doesn't hang back nearly as far as a 60" brush hog would. I think you made the right choice on the 48" brush hog.
