I am new to this forum but have been reading some great information in the various threads. I am a happy owner of a 2013 BX1860 with mower and FEL. I recently acquired a 48" Kubota 3PH scraper/grader blade at a local sale for a great price. It has heavy heavy surface rust and most of the original paint is gone, but very structurally sound.

I am going to do a complete restoration of this blade to match the BX, but was just curious as to what the approximate year of manufacturing was? If anyone has any ideas since it has older style decals. The original serial plate is unreadable. I have attached a few pics, showing one of the original decals still intact. Thanks

I see some serious blasting work in your future!

I don't know how precise you can get with the actual year but you can probably get pretty close with the iconography on the decal.

This looks like it was from the late 70's as this poster is from that same time frame:

Shaun, thanks for your reply. Yes, maybe mid 70's is what I was thinking as well. I did not know if Kubota themselves made these attachments in the 70's or if it was an company authorized aftermarket product such as what Lands Pride is today.

Anyway, I am heading out to buy more grit for the sandblaster! :D Then to decide on the color scheme. I was thinking orange frame and black blade.
