There is no power to the solenoid. The tractor will start if you jump between the starter and solenoid. I have checked seat switch and PTO switches. This problem started intermitant and now won't start at all. Thanks for any help

My L3800 HST had just enough power to the solenoid to chatter it. Sometime is was dead as a door nail. Turns out, it was the HST pedal switch being too tight a range. Wiggle your HST pedal to make sure its centered (lube and clean hinge as necessary) and see if that isn't the issue.

You may have to open the pedal switch range up. A very common issue.

Good luck.

Am new to this forum and having similar starting issues with my 2005 3430 HSTc with only 300hrs. on it. I'm not much of a mechanic but am willing/needing to learn, troubleshoot and change out small parts as need be, so I'm hoping to learn from your experience and the advice you acquire. Based on my ohm reading being greater than 0 I recently thought I had my issue licked when I changed out the clutch pedal switch; started 2nd try but has still been intermittent to start since. I will try the suggested adjustment to the HST switch as a next step.
Do you know if 1 or all the various safety switches are wired in downstream of the starter? I can consistently activate my starter solenoid.

Thanks, and GOOD LUCK
