Anyone use one on the 3301? Currious how the stability is? Need someting to mow about a 1/4 mile of ditch. Looking for a used Belt driven NH or Ford to use.

Thanks
Larry

I have a b2910, and converted an old IH 7 footer to 3 point. Well, actually 2 point, it has a tail wheel. Back tires are partially loaded, less than half full. I have never felt unstable using it, even when using the hydraulics to bounce the wad of grass off the bar. I would think your L would work even better, bigger, wider, heavier.

I have a Case IH 1300. It mounts only to the 3pt hitch no axle brackets and it will mow any place from straight up to straight down. it is belt driven. Made in 1995 and Webb sickle has all the parts for it. I run it on a L3700SU or the 8n Ford so it would do good on the L3301.

3 point hitch sickle bar mowers make a great ditch mower as long is there isn't any brush to mow. The bar is light so it doesn't put a lot of leverage on the tractor making it tippy. A good sharp cutter bar will cut grass, weeds and young new brush very good.
