Can anyone tell me, if the 3rd function kits for the LA534 loaders are a direct fit for the LA535 loaders?

That would depend on which kit and what tractor its going on.

One nice thing about the OEM route is having hard lines running down the arm vs hoses. You might put your own kit together using K's hard lines and brackets with a third party valve, switch, hoses, etc.

FWIW, I have a WR Long 3rd function on my LX2610 SU; it is still working great after 5 years. At the time of purchase, Kubota/Land Pride units were backordered for months.

Unfortunately, none of my paperwork shows the model number, and the tractor is 250+ miles away. I will be at our property on 24 AUG if you do not find a solution in the interim.
